Shared and retail electric scooters are cost-driven products, and the management board is one of the first places a bill of materials gets squeezed. The JNFN ANT 20ESB is an integrated board engineered for that pressure without sacrificing the functions that matter: twenty series at 72 V, 40 A continuous, an 18 mm profile, and the protection set that keeps a rental fleet from generating warranty claims. It is deliberately simple, deliberately thin, and deliberately cheap to assemble into a deck.
Two decisions define the design. First, the current path is sized for the continuous rating rather than a marketing peak, because a shared scooter spends most of its life at part throttle and heat accumulates in a sealed deck with no airflow. Second, the sense interface uses a single locking connector, since a scooter deck is assembled by hand at volume and a bundle of separate plugs is where defects appear.
- 18 mm Slim Profile: The board clears a standard scooter deck cavity without raising the footplate — usually the constraint that rules out generic boards.
- 40 A Continuous, Honestly Rated: The current path is dimensioned for sustained output in still air rather than a ten-second figure, because a sealed deck has no cooling.
- Single Locking Sense Connector: One connector carries cell sense, temperature and communication, which shortens assembly and removes a common source of volume defects.
- Harsh Brake and Stall Protection: Sustained over-current and locked-rotor conditions are distinguished from a normal acceleration spike, so a scooter pushed backwards does not damage the board.
- Charge Port Protection: Reverse-polarity and short protection on the charge input — a requirement in a product that users plug in incorrectly at least once.
- UART to Dashboard, Bluetooth Optional: The base version drives a simple dashboard over UART; a Bluetooth variant adds a phone application for fleet diagnostics.
- Conformal Coated: Coating protects against water that enters a deck through the cable grommets on a wet ride.

Shared scooter fleets, retail kick scooters and light delivery scooters running 72 V packs are the intended fit — particularly products where deck height and unit cost are the two governing constraints. The board also suits compact 60 V models through a parameter change.
Fleet operators value the stall and reverse-push protection because those events are common in shared use and are frequently misdiagnosed as battery failures.
Each board ships with a sense harness, two NTC probes and a pinout card, packed in an anti-static tray. Units are functionally tested at rated current for ten minutes rather than a short pulse, and the test record is filed by serial number.
