Product Description
48 V Lead Acid Replacement BMS for Warehouse Trucks

Replacing a lead acid battery in a warehouse truck is not a drop-in swap, and the reason is usually the charger rather than the pack. The original charger runs a voltage profile written for flooded cells, the truck controller expects a contactor signal, and the hydrometer-based state of charge gauge on the dash becomes meaningless.

The JNFN ANT 16FKB is a sixteen series 48 V integrated board built for that conversion: 150 A continuous, 300 A for ten seconds, a contactor drive output for the traction circuit, and a state-of-charge output that can be shaped to drive the existing gauge.

The 48 V class is where small pallet trucks, stackers and tow tractors live, and those machines are frequently charged opportunistically between tasks rather than on a full cycle. The board accepts that pattern with a fast-charge mode that permits higher acceptance up to a configurable state of charge and then tapers, so a twenty-minute window at lunch returns useful range without pushing cells past their comfort zone.

Key Features of the 16S 48 V Integrated BMS
  • 150 A Continuous with 300 A Peak: Enough for a loaded pallet truck on a ramp and for the hydraulic pump inrush when a lift begins under load.
  • Contactor Drive Output: The board can operate an external contactor on the traction circuit, which is how a conversion keeps a physical air gap in the power path.
  • Lead Acid Gauge Emulation: A configurable output drives the original dash gauge, so the operator reads a familiar indication instead of a fault light.
  • Opportunity Charge Mode: Higher acceptance up to a set state of charge, then a taper that protects the cells, matched to how depots actually charge between shifts.
  • Charger Profile Compatibility: Charge voltage and current limits can be aligned with either a lithium profile or a legacy charger through a programmable cutoff, which avoids replacing the charger on day one.
  • IP54 Coated Housing: Appropriate for a warehouse floor with occasional washdown and a lot of dust, without the cost of full encapsulation.
  • Event Log and Cycle Counter: Delivered ampere-hours and cycle count give maintenance a factual basis for replacement planning.

Applications

Pallet trucks, electric stackers, tow tractors and small counterbalance trucks running 48 V systems are the intended fit, particularly conversions where the charger and dash are being reused. The board also suits airport baggage tugs and hospital logistics vehicles.

Facility managers tend to convert one truck first, verify the charger behaviour, and then roll the same parameter set across a fleet, which the export-and-copy function makes straightforward.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

Delivery includes the board, a labelled harness, four NTC probes, a contactor drive lead and a wiring diagram. Boards are load tested with a simulated loaded-lift profile before packing.

Ordering: single units for pilot conversions, fleet pricing from twenty. Gauge curve, contactor coil voltage and charge limits are configured before shipment. A 24-month limited warranty covers the board.
