Product Description
Integrated BMS for Telecom Rack Backup Strings

Telecom backup cabinets and small data closets are migrating from 48 V lead acid strings to lithium, and the real constraint is integration rather than current. The pack must report into an existing network management system, raise an alarm the site controller understands, and tolerate a room that is air conditioned by day and not by night. The JNFN ANT 16TCB is an 8S to 16S integrated BMS board for 24 V and 48 V strings, rated 80 A continuous, with a Modbus RTU register block and a dry contact alarm that connects to equipment already installed in the rack.

The board is packaged to fit a 19 inch shelf rather than a vehicle compartment: a flat profile, front-facing terminals and a connector row that lines up with a rack cable manager. Settings are deliberately conservative, with charge current limited according to temperature and a low-voltage disconnect threshold that can be matched to the runtime the site is contracted to deliver.

Key Features
  • Modbus RTU Register Block: Cell voltages, current, temperature, state of charge and alarm words are published in a documented register map, so an existing site controller can poll the pack without a new gateway.
  • Dry Contact Alarm for Site Equipment: A configurable relay output can be wired into the alarm panel already monitoring the cabinet, which is how a lithium conversion gains acceptance from an operations team.
  • Rack-Friendly Flat Profile: Front-facing terminals and a connector row aligned with standard cable management allow the board to sit on a shelf beside the pack rather than inside it.
  • Temperature-Limited Charge Current: Charge acceptance is reduced as temperature rises, protecting a pack in a room that loses cooling in the afternoon.
  • Adjustable Low-Voltage Disconnect: The disconnect threshold can be matched to the runtime the site is contracted to provide, rather than fixed at a generic value.
  • 80 A Continuous with 160 A Peak: Sized for a 48 V backup string supporting radio equipment and small switching loads, with headroom for inrush on restart.
  • IP54 with Coated Control Section: Protection appropriate to a conditioned room, without the cost of full potting that a rack installation does not require.

Applications

Telecom backup cabinets, small data closets and remote radio sites running 48 V strings are the primary fit, along with security and access-control cabinets that need a monitored backup battery. The board also suits industrial control cabinets where a 24 V battery backs up a PLC during outages.

Operations teams adopt the board because it reports in a language their existing monitoring already speaks, and because the alarm contact lets a lithium pack appear, from the site controller's point of view, exactly like the lead acid string it replaced.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

Delivery includes the board, a labelled harness, four NTC probes, a Modbus reference card and mounting brackets. Units are burn-in tested with a repeated discharge and recharge profile before packing.

Ordering: Samples from one piece, site rollout pricing from fifty. Register addressing, alarm polarity and disconnect thresholds can be configured before shipment.

A 24-month limited warranty covers the board.
