Product Description
60 V E-Moped BMS Engineered for Regenerative Braking

A 60 V electric moped operates in a narrow band of conditions that a general-purpose board handles poorly. Motor current is modest, but braking sends energy back at unpredictable moments, the pack sits under the footboard where water collects, and the vehicle is parked outdoors in all weather. The JNFN ANT 17MPB is a seventeen-series integrated board built for that combination: 100 A continuous, 200 A for ten seconds, a dedicated regeneration path, IP65 sealing, and CAN plus Bluetooth in the same unit.

Regeneration is where most cheap boards lose their reputation. A controller that returns current into a pack already at high state of charge will lift cell voltages quickly, and a management board that reacts by opening the discharge path turns a braking event into an abrupt loss of drive. The 17MPB handles this by limiting charge acceptance as cells approach the top of the window, so the controller's regen tapers instead of being cut, and the rider feels a normal brake rather than a fault.

Key Features of the 17S 60V Integrated BMS
  • Regeneration-Aware Charge Path: Charge current acceptance tapers as the highest cell approaches the top window, so braking energy is absorbed rather than triggering a protection event mid-ride.
  • 100 A Continuous with 200 A Peak: Matched to the controller class used on 60 V mopeds and light motorcycles, with headroom for a standing start on a slope.
  • IP65 Sealed Housing: Under-footboard mounting means road spray, puddle splash and grit; the sealed enclosure and coated control section are specified for that position rather than for a dry compartment.
  • CAN to Controller, Bluetooth to Rider: The CAN link publishes pack state to the motor controller, while Bluetooth feeds a phone application for range estimation and cell inspection.
  • Integrated Pre-Charge: The controller capacitor bank is brought up through a resistor before the main path closes, protecting the connector in a vehicle that may be powered on dozens of times a day.
  • Low-State Sleep: Standby draw is kept under 2 mA so a moped parked for a fortnight still starts, and the board wakes on key-on or charger connection.
  • Temperature-Gated Charge Block: Charging is refused below a configurable cell temperature, which protects a pack that is charged outdoors in winter.

Applications for 60 V Electric Mopeds and Scooters

Electric mopeds, light motorcycles and 60 V delivery scooters are the intended fit, particularly vehicles that use regenerative braking as part of normal riding. The board also suits small three-wheelers and utility scooters that share the 60 V architecture.

Fleet operators in delivery work value the regeneration handling because stop-start urban routes return a meaningful share of energy, and a board that cuts regen to protect itself gives that energy back as brake heat instead.

Packaging, Quality Assurance and Ordering

Delivery includes the sealed board, a labelled sense harness, four NTC probes, a CAN lead and a wiring card. Each board is tested with a simulated ride profile including repeated regeneration bursts at high state of charge.

Ordering: samples from one piece, vehicle programme pricing from fifty. CAN identifier mapping, charge taper curve and harness routing can be configured against the vehicle drawing. A 24-month limited warranty covers the board.
