Product Description
72 V Fleet Conversion BMS for Golf Carts and Utility Vehicles

Converting a golf fleet from lead acid to lithium is less a battery project than an electrical-system project. The cart has a controller it will not replace, a dashboard that expects a fuel-gauge style signal, and a driver who will not read a manual. The JNFN ANT 20GCB is a 20 series 72 V replacement board with 250 A continuous output, a 2.5 A active balancing stage, and a state-of-charge output that can be shaped to look like the lead-acid gauge the cart was built around.

The board also has to survive a life outdoors. A golf cart sits in the sun, gets rained on, crosses sprinkler lines and is pressure washed by the maintenance crew. IP65 sealing, sealed connectors and a potted current path address that reality. The optional 2.4 inch display replaces the factory gauge entirely, showing state of charge, remaining range estimate and the fault code a technician needs, instead of a needle that only knows full and empty.

Key Features of the 20S 250A Active Balance BMS
  • 250 A Continuous with 500 A Ten-Second Peak: Enough for a loaded four-seater on a slope, and enough headroom for the inrush that occurs when the controller is engaged while the cart is already rolling.
  • 2.5 A Active Balancing: Fleet carts are charged on a shared bank every evening and rarely get a full absorption phase; the transformer stage closes cell spread during whatever window the charger provides.
  • Lead-Acid Gauge Emulation: A configurable voltage-to-gauge output lets the original dashboard needle behave plausibly, so a conversion does not require replacing the instrument cluster.
  • Optional 2.4 Inch Driver Display: Replaces the factory gauge with state of charge, estimated range, pack temperature and fault codes, mounted in the existing cutout where possible.
  • Key-Off Sleep and Wake: Standby draw is low enough to leave a cart parked for a month without flattening the pack, and the board wakes on charger connection or key signal.
  • CAN to the Cart Controller: Frame mapping is supplied for the common fleet controllers, along with a parameter set for the current limit the controller expects to see.
  • IP65 Sealed and Coated: Gasketed lid, coated control section and sealed connector shells handle washdown, rain and the humid air of a coastal course.

Applications

Golf course fleets, resort shuttles and utility carts running 72 V systems are the core use case, especially conversions where the existing controller and dashboard must stay in service. The board also fits hospitality carts, estate vehicles and maintenance buggies in the same voltage class.

Fleet operators typically order in batches and standardise the parameter set across a site, then use the display fault codes to triage a cart in the workshop rather than sending a technician onto the course.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

The unit ships with the board, a labelled sense harness, four NTC probes, a CAN lead and a wiring diagram; the display is supplied as a separate line item when selected. Each board is exercised against a 20 series pack profile including a slope-start current burst.

Ordering: single units for evaluation, fleet pricing from twenty-five. Gauge emulation curves, controller identifier mapping and display branding can be configured before shipment. A 24-month limited warranty covers the management board.
