Product Description

The JNFN ANT 24TDA is an active-balancing battery management system built for the operational rhythm of battery-swap fleets. Where a passenger two-wheeler pack is charged at home and inspected once a year, a swap pack is exchanged three to six times a day, handled by machine or by hand, and expected to report its own condition before the rider reaches the cabinet. The 24TDA is designed around that duty cycle: 17 to 24 series cells, 60 V and 72 V nominal platforms, 150 A continuous discharge, and a CAN channel that speaks to the swap cabinet rather than only to a phone app.

The board carries the same balancing core that has been shipping in the ANT platform for years, but the current path, the thermal design and the telemetry stack have been reworked for cargo-class vehicles. Cargo tricycles and light electric trucks pull sustained current on gradients that a scooter never sees, and they do it with a pack that sits under a flatbed in direct summer sun. The result is a management board that has to survive heat soak, vibration and dust simultaneously, and still hand over a clean state-of-charge figure to a cabinet controller within the two seconds a swap takes.

Key Features
  • 1 A Active Balancing on Every Channel: charge is moved between adjacent cells by an inductive transfer stage instead of being burned off as heat. On a 20S pack with a 60 mV spread, balancing completes in roughly one charge window rather than several, which keeps the weakest cell out of the early-cutoff zone and preserves usable capacity across the fleet.
  • CAN Bus and RS485 Running in Parallel: the CAN port is intended for the swap cabinet handshake - pack identity, cell voltage snapshot, pack temperature, allow-to-swap flag - while RS485 remains available for a maintenance laptop or a depot gateway. Both interfaces stay live at the same time, so a cabinet can negotiate a swap while a technician reads live data on the service port.
  • Swap-Cabinet Telemetry Stack: the optional 4G and GPS module pushes pack ID, cycle count, cumulative ampere-hours, fault history and position to a fleet dashboard. Operators can see which pack is drifting, which cabinet slot is idle and where a pack was last exchanged, without pulling data from the vehicle.
  • IP67 Potted Chassis for Underbody Mounting: the enclosure is filled with silicone gel and sealed with a gasketed lid, so road spray,high-pressure washing and seasonal flooding do not reach the current path. The mounting feet are isolated from the power terminals to reduce the chance of a chassis short during a rushed swap.
  • Four NTC Channels with Independent Charge and Discharge Paths: separate charge and discharge MOSFET banks allow the board to block charging at low temperature while still permitting discharge, which keeps a cold pack usable in winter instead of stranding the vehicle.
  • Pre-Charge and Contactor Drive: an integrated pre-charge resistor path limits inrush when a pack is docked into a cabinet bus, protecting the connector pins that would otherwise erode after a few thousand insertions.
  • Parameter Profiles per Fleet: current limits, cut-off thresholds and balancing windows are stored as selectable profiles, so one hardware revision can serve a 60 V cargo fleet and a 72 V rental fleet without a firmware rewrite.

Applications

The 24TDA is aimed at vehicles that live on a route rather than in a garage. Cargo tricycles and light electric trucks running last-mile distribution are the primary fit, particularly where the operator owns the swap cabinets and needs the pack to identify itself at the dock. Rental two-wheeler fleets use the same board when packs circulate between riders and a depot charger.

Because the CAN channel publishes a standard frame set, the board also suits integrators who are building their own swap cabinet and want a pack-side controller that can be interrogated without reverse engineering. Fleets that later add a battery-as-a-service billing layer can read cycle counts and delivered ampere-hours directly from the telemetry stream.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

Each unit ships with the management board, a colour-coded balance harness, one NTC probe set, a power-on lead and a printed quick-start card; a PDF wiring manual is issued with every order. Boards are functionally tested on a cell simulator before packing, with the test record retained against the serial number.

Ordering: sample quantities start at one piece, and parameter profiles can be set at the factory against your pack drawing. Bulk programmes include protocol documentation, custom harness lengths and front-panel branding. A 24-month limited warranty covers the management board against manufacturing defects.
